  • writing the obsession: a generative retreat

    July 24-27, 2025 | Hudson, NY

Boil most of your favorite books and pieces of writing down to the bone, and you'll see they have obsession at their core. We should all be writing, as Ann Hood says, the things that keep us up at night. Nothing is too mundane or embarrassing to be obsessed with. In this generative retreat, including three guest speakers, we will look at obsession from various angles, generate pages, and learn techniques for leaning all the way in toward obsession, instead of away from it.

  • SAD retreat: write through your seasonal affective disorder

    November 13-16, 2025 | Hudson, NY

    More info to come.

"I just finished the video for “Carving out space”— incredible. And real. And I had know idea you and Lidia intersected, but it makes sense. And depended on my understanding of your work. This is one of the most refreshing moments/conversations/classes I have experienced in a bit, so thank you."

—Angela Giles Patel

"After your class, I felt so inspired to write. I finally started writing in my journal last night and it was very freeing. You really broke down a dear of mine about even considering to be a writer. You made me believe this is something I can do."
